Elementari is a simple tool for all ages that combines writing and coding. Students can begin with simple picture books and then 'code' their stories to play music, voiceovers, animations, and more. Elementari is an online platform that connects artists with writers to create and share interactive stories. They have over 10,000 illustrations and sounds with more added each week by the community to jump-start your story. Creating student accounts makes it easy to join in without an email and jumpstart writing. If your students already addresses or google for education accounts, they can simply sign up themselves and join with the classcode. Provide specific page to page feedback on ongoing stories. Once you give feedback on a student's story, he will be able to review, make changes, and resolve that feedback directly within the authoring tool. Afterwards, you can validate that the feedback has been resolved properly before publishing the story to the public. Each classroom has an associated classroom library page which you can customize to reflect your classroom profile. This is a public url that contains the list of the published stories by the students' in your class. Classroom libraries help you and your class celebrate their published stories and shared them with parents and friends to read. Due to the increase of requests, Elementari will be streamlining the process for teachers (and parents) with up to 90 students to gain access to the entire Elementari platform at no cost. This will give you and your students access until end of May 2020 or until your school reopens. Educators will just need to create an account on Elementari. Once they verify the information, they will upgrade your account to an Educator Plan directly. Educators will also be able to review and give feedback on students' stories (page by page) remotely and see student statistics (how long students spend writing and coding, number of characters written/lines coded). Educators can also create template stories/worksheets where student can "Remix". Remixing copies the story for students to edit and modify.
